Jerry Wayne Hedrick

Mr. Jerry Wayne Hedrick, 72, of Thomasville, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  He was born on July 8, 1951 in Davidson County, Thomasville, NC to Grover Lindsay Hedrick and Carrie Ella Kennedy Hedrick.  He graduated from East Davidson High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from High Point College in 1973.  He was a life-long member of Emanuel Reformed Church.  He retired after 32 years of service with the Davidson County School System, where he taught vocational education at Tyro Middle School and Brown Middle School.  After retirement, he was a custodian for Mt. Pleasant Church and Emanuel Reformed Church.  His main hobby was his family.

On March 29, 1975, he married Barbara Jane Ferguson, who survives of the home; also surviving are his two sons, Joshua Hedrick and wife Heather of Lexington and Nathan Hedrick and wife Kelli of Mocksville; two brothers, Ervin Hedrick and wife Sherry and Darrell Hedrick, all of Thomasville; and his two grandchildren, Owen Hedrick and Aubrey Hedrick.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Emanuel Reformed Church with Pastor Ricky Payne and Pastor Michael Bowers officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Mr. Hedrick will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service.  The family will be at the funeral home to receive family and friends on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.  Memorials may be directed to Emanuel Reformed Church, 128 Cedarland Dr. Thomasville, NC 27360.  Online condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
